Congrats to Colorado! Jonathan Gold's 99 Essential LA List

So, this week Jonathan Gold's 99 Essential LA Restaurant list was published in the LA Weekly.

Of course, there are many excellent eats all over Los Angeles, but as you would expect, many of the restaurants that made Jonathan Gold's list reside on some main culinary arteries of Los Angeles like Melrose Ave., Beverly Blvd. and Wilshire Blvd. From the list, I counted 6 restaurants on Melrose Ave, 5 on Beverly Blvd. and 5 on Wilshire Blvd.

What you may not expect is that in fourth place with 4 restaurants is - you got it - Colorado Blvd Baby!!

So a BIG CONGRATULATIONS out to the 4 Colorado joints to make it on to Jonathan Gold's elite list for 2009.

They are:

Casa Bianca

ColoradoChow Back in the House!

I'm back from my one year plus sabbatical. I know you've been pulling up my blog a few times a day for the past year, to see if I posted something new and I truly do apologize for the silence.

I hope you understand, I just needed some time off to fast for a year and bond with my inner child.... I only jest. I haven't stopped eating and exploring. I don't think I can. It's in my blood (and I think my doctor has figured this out as well).

Anyhoo, I just stopped posting because I got lazy. But hey, I own the damn domain - I paid for it - so I can sit on it if I want. Ha...

And a shout out to all the food bloggers out there that didn't have any faith in me and dropped ColoradoChow from their blogroll.

I'll be back soon with more Colorado Chow even if no one reads this crap.

I'm out for now. Gotta go eat.
