The Vault
2675 E. Colorado Blvd.

What used to be a former corner bank is now The Vault. Get it? In fact, they have the actual old vault sunken in the enterance floor and you walk over it over a see-through walkway. The interior is a Vegas-y sports bar with flat screen TVs covering the top perimeter of the joint. Full bar, sleek interior, outdoor patio - this place is ready for your business power lunch or clubbing at night.

I went to check it out for lunch and ordered the Seared Ahi Salad. The plate was a huge mound of food. (In fact, seeing the other dishes coming out for the other guests - the dishes are generally huge.) The verdict? It was just ok. The Ahi was not what I would consider as seared. Many pieces were cooked through.

In general, I wouldn't consider this place as a food destination, but if you need to host some business meeting/lunch in the area or if you need to catch some sporting event during your workday - this place would work.

I haven't gone for the night "club" and, having no desire to to go, I probably never will so I have no comment on that scene.
